Workers Is All We Do
Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Northeast Philadelphia, often referred to simply as the “Northeast,” is a diverse and vibrant region located in the northeastern part of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With a population of around 500,000, it is one of the city’s largest sections, known for its unique blend of suburban and urban characteristics. Though some industry has left over the years, such as the famous Budd Company (whose former plant on Red Lion Road built train cars for many railroads, including what is now known as the “regional rail” system, as well as for use on the Market-Frankford El), the area remains a mix of residential, retail, healthcare and manufacturing that we are proud to serve.
Some parts of Northeast Philadelphia have ties to the American Revolutionary War, and you can find historical landmarks and museums that tell the story of the city’s past.
The Northeast is home to a wide variety of neighborhoods, each with its own distinct character. Some of the well-known neighborhoods in this area include Fox Chase, Mayfair, Tacony, Frankford, Bustleton, and Rhawnhurst, among others. These neighborhoods offer a range of housing options, from rowhouses to single-family homes.
Northeast Philadelphia is known for its cultural diversity. People from various ethnic backgrounds and communities call this area home, contributing to a rich cultural tapestry. You can find a variety of ethnic restaurants, shops, and cultural events representing the diverse population.
There is no shortage of green spaces and recreational facilities in Northeast Philadelphia. Pennypack Park, one of the largest parks in the city, offers hiking and biking trails, along with opportunities for picnicking and birdwatching. There are also numerous community parks and sports facilities where residents can engage in outdoor activities.
The region is well-connected to the rest of Philadelphia and the surrounding areas through an extensive network of highways, including Interstate 95 and the Roosevelt Boulevard (U.S. Route 1). Public transportation is also readily available, with SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) providing bus and that same regional rail service that used to feature Budd’s rail cars.
Over the years, we have represented injured workers of all types from Northeast Philadelphia, from sales people working in retail, to nurses and medical technicians working in one of the many healthcare providers, to office workers with carpal tunnel or other repetitive stress injuries, to manufacturing workers with neck, back and shoulder injuries.
Our main office is in Warminster, PA, about 20 minutes from Northeast Philadelphia. For the convenience of injured workers in Northeast Philadelphia, we have a satellite office in The Neshaminy Interplex, on Roosevelt Boulevard, just outside Northeast Philadelphia. A visit to our offices avoids the time, cost and hassle of travelling to Center City Philadelphia to see your attorney.
In the past, the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workers’ Compensation used to have a workers’ compensation hearing office on Grant Avenue. Unfortunately, that location closed several years ago, so injured workers from Northeast Philadelphia now have to venture into Center City Philadelphia for the hearing office located on Arch Street.
